FAQS

  • You'll find usage instructions on each individual product page under the tab "METHOD". If you're starting more than one new product, try each new product separately over the span of 1-2 weeks. If you have a negative reaction, stop using the product immediately. If you have sensitive skin, start with an overnight patch test under your jawline, and give your skin a full 24 hours before judging the result.

  • Always store your products in a cool, dark place, and always refrain from placing glass droppers directly onto skin. Always scoop product from jars with a clean, dry implement or very clean hands.

    Botanically blessed products are alive and ephemeral, and you must purchase them with the intention of using them promptly and consistently. Because nature is unpredictable, products may vary in color, texture, and scent.

    If you're unable to begin using your new products immediately, store them, caps tightly sealed, in the refrigerator (not the freezer). Please begin using refrigerated products within 3 months.

  • No, and neither is anything else (nerd disclaimer- except inside a vacuum). Air is a chemical, water is a chemical. Our own bodies are composed of chemicals.

    That said, we always aim to avoid using any potentially dangerous or untested lab-synthesized chemicals. We always avoid parabens, pthalates, formaldehyde releasers, and synthetically-derived fragrances & colors.

  • We are unable to offer refunds or credits due to product reactions. Please read the FORMULA tab, and refrain from purchasing products with ingredients your skin reacts negatively to. Product reactions cannot be predicted, but we do our best to avoid offering products that contain common irritants. 

    RETURNS:

    Unfortunately we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on any products. No returns doesn't mean no refunds! Please see below re: order issues.

    ORDER ISSUES:

    Please inspect your order upon receipt, and email us immediately if there is an issue with your order (e.g. something is damaged, we sent the wrong item, or we forgot to include something you ordered). Email us a photo and description of the issue, and we'll do our best to make it right.

  • It's always my intention to ship orders within 1-2 business days, but occasionally it may take 3-5 business days for your order to ship, especially within the first few days after a seasonal collection launch. If you don't see a shipment confirmation email within 5 business days, please email us at hello@heartofgold.love.

    It's your responsibility to provide a secure, accurate, and current shipping address. In the event that your package is confirmed by USPS as delivered, we cannot offer refunds or reimbursements for items that are lost or stolen. In the event that a package is returned to us due to a customer error, the customer is responsible for covering the cost of postage for reshipment.

  • Heart of Gold products are available four times per year- the seasonal collections launch on the spring equinox, summer solstice, autumn equinox, and winter solstice. The collections are only available briefly, for the span of a few weeks, and they tend to sell out quickly.

    You'll want to sign up for the newsletter below, which grants exclusive early access to the Heart of Gold seasonal capsule collections. Heart of Gold seasonal capsule collections are sold exclusively on this website. If the shop is empty, try again on or after the next solstice or equinox.
